A Visual Mistake
This was a online ad to remind the reader that although this is down times in the economy you can help lighten the weight/stress for everyone around you by throwing a party for the holidays, and we are the company that can work with your needs to make it all happen to keep the holiday spirits alive.
To me this didn't seem like a successful visual message because I believe that when introducing information in a ad, its like introducing one person to another, the most important thing someone wants to know before getting informed is who is speaking. In this ad instead of announcing who they are from the beginning they chose the type or strategy with a attractive header to keep the reader reading first then leading them to more info, to who they are, etc.

Teaming up for Turkey Day
Great Performances is teaming up with Goldman Sac's to help serve over 10,000 meals for The Salvation Army for Thanksgiving. For this non-profitable occasion GP will be serving the food while over 300 Goldman Sac employees have already signed up to volunteer to take out the trash at the end of the night. In the picture is the sampling of the food by GP celebrity Chef and employees for this holiday event.

Letter of Recommendation
Dear Whom it may Concern:
For whom is tired of low bank interest rates and the sharp drop in the dollar value during the past years. You may want to consider investing at a time like this. Yes you can put your money in a mutual fund but its so diversified its return value is probably not that much different from leaving it where you have it now.But since we starting to see the rebounding from recession i suggest stocks. One stock I recommend is Dry Ships "DRYS" its a international commodity shipping company. It's been around for a long time and now we all know China's economy is shooting upward.Demand for raw materials is on the raise so right now is a good time to put your money is this stock for long term investment until the U.S. economy stands back on its foot.

Type of Visual Communication
Dry Ships is a company that is very low-keyed in public advertising.Their business is based on word-of-mouth. Presentations and reports are tailored for each client specifically depending on their needs and budget. They do more of a 1 client per business team per each meeting. So i think the company is more suitable for a PowerPoint presentation that is very detailed and supported with charts.
Visual Evolution and DryShips
Well, visual communication has evolved tremendously over the years from information blown up on poster boards to todays PowerPoint presentation program projected on a screen. This major change in technology over time has made it a lot easier to post up information for a presentation, everything is now just a click away. You can find information and just copy and paste instead of having to double the work by copying everything word for word as back in the day.For example Dry ships has recently released its third quarter earning report. For the people that couldn't make it to the actual conference call, a live web cast will be broadcast over the Internet. All that has to be done is a simple 1,2,3, step register 10 minutes prior to the conference. This advancement in the world of visual technology has made this possible to help cater to the schedules of clients that is very busy but is interested in the company.
